We are adding a General Manager to our team. We are looking for talented, and caring individuals to join us. This role will oversee the daily operations of funeral and cremation center businesses. The General Manager role is an integral part of our team and the Wausau community, and we want to honor and celebrate you, and the meaningful work you do. - Provide overall operations and market share leadership and strategic support to Location Managers and all employees within the operating group.
- You will serve as a bridge between shared services' strategic work and tactical location execution.
- You will possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge of operational process and procedure.
- Manage employee and operating group performance using established metrics and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues promptly.
- Coach and develop Funeral Home staff in various areas.
- Will perform Funeral Director duties as needed to support and work alongside your team.
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role
- 5 years within the funeral industry
- Ability to successfully coach teams
- Fully licensed in Wisconsin as a Funeral Director
- Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state.
- Successful completion of the National Board Examination
- Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination
- Valid Funeral Director and/or Embalmer State Licensure
- Valid Driver’s License
